Interested in a buddy

Postby Nancy C » Jan 22, 2007 7:33 pm

Hello, I am 14 weeks pregnant with twins with HG. Third pregnancy with HG, have a 2 year old and 1 miscarriage. This is by far the worst likely due to twins, would love to have support of someone who has been there.
Thank you so much.

Yep, we've got plenty of UK ladies. I'll email you, but I won't even attempt to try to match up locations as I'm so completely confused about your Home Counties and Old Counties and Shires... LOL Louise in Kent will know who's near you, and she'll be happy to line things up. :)

Hello Natalie

I have just sent you an email, hope that it reaches you ok. I put HG support UK in the subject box so you know that is not juke mail.

Hi everyone, sorry I have not been around I forgot my password too! tahnk you for help me Pamela..

Hi Nancy I had HG with my Twin pregnancy and when I was first told of HG they said (whilst doing the scan) "o thats why your so ill, you are having twins" but I think it was just I was going to have HG no matter how many babies I was carrying but because it was my First I wouldn't know if it was the worst or not. I am currantly in talks with hubby about more little babies but he's not so sure because of HG. How are you coping having a little one as well?

Well I really hope that I can get on here later as I missed reading the boards.

Take care hugs to all.

Louise

After some lingering in the first tri folder and a downer of a week, I think I am in much need of a buddy. :) My name is Megan, I am an American in Melbourne, Australia. I'm 11 weeks along in my second pregnancy (I have a two year old daughter). I'm living in Australia while my husband works on his MBA here. And HG struck with this one about 4 or 5 weeks ago and decided to really peak about three days ago.

Soooo glad I found this website. The info and support is tremendous and much appreciated during this difficult time. Thanks so much!!!

Looking for a buddy

Postby Fern » Mar 13, 2007 3:38 pm

Hi there, thank you for setting this up! I'm in Oregon, I'm 9 weeks 5 days pg, and I'm totally miserable. I've been in bed for 2-1/2 weeks now, and vary between being just utterly nauseated and unable to function, and being unable to keep anything down, even water. I've had 5 rounds of IV fluids, and today my midwife suggested getting IV Zofran in a few days if I don't improve. This just sucks. I'm so scared it's going to last the whole pregnancy! I don't know what to do. Would love to have some support.

Fern, it was nice to hear from you. And Clara--CONGRATULATIONS! I'm thrilled for you. I'll pass along your request to Louise so you can have things lined up quickly. Same for you, Krystal - I'll be in touch about a buddy soon. So many new babies coming along here now. :)

I'd like to be a buddy for someone newly pregnant in Kentucky w/hyperemesis. I'm 34 weeks along and my symptoms have toned down remarkably.

I'm 19 and a college student. I found out I was pregnant Aug 31 and started having symptoms a few weeks later. I dropped from 120 pounds to 108 in three weeks. I couldn't even hold down water. I was throwing up at least ten times a day, most days at least 15. It was miserable. I was IV'd on several occasions for dehydration and ended up dropping out of school late October, when I was 12 weeks pregnant.

My symptoms started to taper off at around 22 weeks, but I still get bouts of nausea, but not nearly as bad. I've gained the weight back, thanks to a nutritionist at my college telling me to leave and also treating me early.

I've been there, done that... and would love to be a buddy for someone going through it. :)

Pamela,

Thanks for doing this for us. I emailed you the pertinant info. It's just amazing to me to see how many people are going through the same thing as me. I have been feeling so alone lately, and this forum is just what the dr ordered. Well, the nurse. :) She was the one who pointed me here.

Thank you,

Molly
