Motherisk is conducting a prevention study involving Canadian women who had a previous pregnancy with severe Nausea and Vomiting (NVP) and who are now planning a pregnancy or currently pregnant with no NVP yet.
The aim of the study is to improve women’s quality of life by preventing the morning or all-day sickness from becoming severe again.
Participation will consist of initial telephone interview, symptom management counseling and routine and as required telephone and/or e-mail follow-ups during the pregnancy until delivery. An additional follow-up telephone interview will be done at approximately 6 months post delivery.
The study is supervised by Dr. Gideon Koren, MD, and if you would be interested in participating in the study or to get more information, please contact study coordinator Caroline Maltepe at the Motherisk NVP Helpline at 1-800-436-8477 or by e-mail caroline.maltepe@sickkids.ca
