MOTHERISK STUDY (NVP and Depression)

Postby cmaltepe » Oct 11, 2007 3:18 pm

The Motherisk Program at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto is conducting a study to learn if nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (NVP) leads to depression during pregnancy. We also want to learn if women who have NVP associated depression will also suffer from post-partum depression.

We are looking for women who are planning a pregnancy or less than 6 weeks pregnant. They must not have history of depression or any other psychiatric disorders and no major medical conditions.
Study participation will consist of initial telephone interview, four 10 minute follow-ups calls during the pregnancy and a final follow-up interview will be conducted 6-8 weeks after the baby is born.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact the study Coordinator Pina Bozzo at 1-800-670-6126 or by email motheriskteam@yahoo.ca.
