All is well...

Postby Gracie » Apr 20, 2006 4:32 pm

Hi Everyone...

We are both safe and healthy... but I am wiped out; so the story and pics and changing my ticker and avatar will have to wait.

A few more twists and turns to the story but nothing major; he's 2.1kg and doing great in the NICU. No resp issues and absolutely ravenous for the bottle... eats like he was full term, not a 32-34 weeker!

Pics to follow asap...

2100 grams = 4 lbs 10 oz. So he was definately NOT IUGR at all! That's great.

I'm sorry you are so wiped out Gracie =( Huge sigh of relief to hear babe is doing good. Take care of you, I am so hopeful this means he gets a super short NICU stay and can go home with you!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!

Hooray, hooray, hooray! (Cin does little happy dance in her computer chair.)

Gracie, my hero, you did it! Look what you risked for this baby! Look at your reward. (Trying not to cry tears of joy at this point. :D  )

Welcome, little man! I know Mom and Dad will pick a wonderful name for you. :D

(Thank you, Lord Jesus! And thank you assorted saints for favours received.)

Lots of hugs to you, and sending you resting, sleepy vibes. So, so glad you're both doing fine.

Cin :D

Gracie, that is such wonderful news! :D 2.1kg is such an incredibly good weight at this stage! I'm glad that you know he's doing well in the NICU, that must be a big comfort to you after the last few months of agony. Now for you to rest up so that you can spend as much time with him as possible. Do they recommend a 6 day stay post c/s in Canada like they do here? I'm sure you're looking forward to getting home again, but that few days rest without any HG or other pregnancy strains will be so good for you.
