Miriam Erick is a Dietician, if I remember right. She does do consults, and she is paid by the hour. I know that she is very concerned about malnutrition and HGers, but have never really been able to get any concrete information out of her about what she recommends about anything.
I've heard that she's great with recommendations that we offer as basics here (and Motherisk will counsel HGers on for free), and haven't communicated with anyone who had more info to offer past that. I've wanted to read her books but haven't been able to run across them, and have heard that they aren't very practical for severe HGers - but have been unable to form my own concrete opinion, yet.
I'd love to know more about how helpful she has been, or not been from women who have consulted with her. I think my biggest concern is that most often insurance companies will not cover consults with dieticians, and many HGers are strapped for money, especially when they are on Zofran, so I'd hate to recommend her not really knowing anything concrete about how worthwhile it would be for an HGer to expend that money.
I do have her contact information if you are interested. She stops in at HuGS from time to time to leave sketchy updates. She does seem to genuinely care about HG becoming much more well-known, has a well-known name, and political connections that help to further the cause of HG.
