Postby BlueEeyore » Aug 18, 2004 2:07 pm

How does Ramen go down and come up?

ramen

Don't know about Ramen specifically, but most pastas were gentle in both directions. Just watch for possible grossment by spaghetti type pasta and go with penne or such. I would projectile from any amount of garlic or onion, so I did PLAIN noodles...no sauce of any kind.

I could NOT tolerate any type of pasta very well. The first time I tried mac n' cheese it came right back up (I never tried ramen). But it seems like I've heard a lot of people say mac n' cheese was great.

I would at least TRY anything I was craving, figuring it was worth it if I found something that worked for me (the hot dogs deffinitely did NOT work for me!).

Hi,

Ramen, like most pasta comes up pretty easy, but I always cut itinto smaller peices. FYI_ I never got Ramem to stay down when pregnant and I still have an aversion to this. But, I had undiagnosed GB problems when I wanted the ramen and was told this is one of the things that probably put me into an attack due to fat content. Good luck.

Yes, I agree. Cut up any longish food,

<grossment>

just in case it becomes bidirectional.

Ok. I can report back. It wasn't bad coming up, BUT ramen flavoring is not so wonderful reprocessed. Ick. Won't do that again.

Hi Blue,

Have you tried the Ramen without the flavor pack? The flavor packs were yucky to me even when not pg...but the noodles were okay.

I'm at 11 wks now, and this is the first time I could read this section. Shrimp flavored Cup O'Noodles is the only thing I have never thrown up this preg. I don't know why. I'm so sick of them, but I eat almost one/day b/c it stays down. It has 1350 mg of sodium. Maybe my body is trying to hold onto some liquid. It's also easy b/c I just fill it w/water, microwave it for 2 min, then let it sit for 2 min. No cooking involved. I tried the Ramen noodles in the plastic wrap last night, and they stayed down too. I'm sorry this hasn't worked for everyone.

There's no rhyme or reason to what stays down. I found that things that smell good to me have a better chance. I actually had Chinese food stay down a few nights ago, but saltine crackers or dry toast comes back. It makes no sense. I just can't wait to get through this preg!

I tried Kraft Mac and cheese today.
It did not work for me. However, it tasted the same coming up.

Crushed Ramen In Chix Broth

Postby adelmaal » Dec 09, 2004 5:00 pm

I would smash up the Ramen noodles and drink them in chicken broth. Not bad coming back up and sometimes it stayed down. I couldn't handle spaghetti though! Talk about gagging while your puking. Not a good experience.
