Instant tummy calmer

Postby krisalis » Feb 08, 2006 5:33 pm

Hi,
Someone mentioned this to me and I was so desperate I tried it.

Cherry Halls.

Sounds odd, but when I feel my most queasy I pop one in my mouth and it calms my stomach. I have started taking one right after I eat ( when I can eat) which for me is the most queasy time lately. Even if the nausea comes back after the Halls is gone it has given my body time to use some of the food I've put in it. The smell isn't too bad and it even helps with the congestion. It also helps alot when I get droolly.

I found hot water with either a lemon wedge, squeezed lemon juice, lemon and honey, just honey or camomile tea (weak) with lemon and honey could sonetimes ward off vomiting. The only problem was if I moved to make it, I would be sick. My husband got used to asking what do you want in your hot water this time.

If I wasn't on the verge of being sick, I couldn't drink it at all... wierd huh.

When you say cherry halls, are you talking about the cough sweets? I have a whole bag of cherry tunes, but haven't tried to take one since being pg, maybe I should and see.

Yeah, the throat lozenge. It seemed to clear up the extra spit and I think the "vapor action" was so strong I couldn't smell anything else which helped a lot.

I'm gonna get some tomorrow and see if they help, I do find in general, that if I am sucking a sweet or mint or anything like that, it feels better simply because I am not worrying about the sticky throat that I have constantly. Hey I'll give anything a go once.

Thanks to about 30 apple jolly ranchers a DAY, I am managing the nausea some as well as taking in abotu 800 calories from them alone.

I swear that my cut up and sore green tongue is the worst, but at the same time I believe that the jollies have single handedly helped me not lose weight...

I hate all things cherry so the halls make me want to yack...
