Lysterine strips instead of toothbrush

Postby IslandDreamer » Jul 15, 2004 2:26 pm

When pregnant I always had a hideous taste in the back of my mouth, and of course could not brush my teeth. Mouthwash against my throat made me gag, but Lysterine strips (or the equivalent) in cinnamon and mint took the taste away and didn't trip my gag reflex.

Hope this helps someone.

strips

The strips are actually not listerine-y much at all...cinnamon was very cinnamony...not listeriney...and the off brands are tastier.

Listerine

I got some Listerine Natural Citrus flavor, and it's not too bad. I'll have to try some strips too!

PS - Glad to know I'm not the only one whose gag reflex is set off by brushing my teeth! What a catch 22!

I ate--no joke--an average of 6 boxes of tic-tacs a day. The white ones only. It was like they were pregnancy heroin or something--

No toothpaste

Postby Pesto7 » Sep 29, 2004 2:32 pm

I had to stop using toothpaste. I can't believe that they actually add something to toothpaste to make it foamy! People just think that is the way toothpaste is and now you can't buy any that isn't foamy! Now I use Tom's of Maine mouthwash and a tongue scraper (just once fast) and every so often use a toothbrush and bakingsoda mixed with mouthwash.
