Small Update

Postby Ivydragon » Dec 08, 2006 2:30 pm

We've had the wrong approximate due date. Evidentally it's not the 1st 1/2 of December, but the 2nd 1/2 of December, in fact, maybe late in December for the birthmom's due date. And bail has been dropped lower - instead of having to pay an actual $10,000, she only has to pay an actual $5,000. Don't know if they'll manage to get her out, and there is no actual progress on them considering adoption, so I think our chances are slowly dwindling.

And to complicate things, we had someone recently say a strange comment to us about adoption which might lead to a placement, or not - and so we're in perpetual limbo.

So, I'm focusing on getting the kids going on their least favorite homeschool topics, and scrapbooking - trying to keep busy, patient and focused - kinda feel like adoption is floating in mid air for us, and one of these days we're gonna get a bullet in our hot air baloon, and it's gonna happen faster than we can even guess. It's weird.

Hugs to all, Andy

Well, we're out of luck here. The birthmom is getting out of jail. They were able to post bail. While she was still in last week she wasn't considering adoption, so we're pretty sure that now she's out she won't be suddenly considering adoption. Evidentally the time she was considering adoption was either her extended family being hopeful that she was, or momentary at best. I am glad that the baby won't be born in jail - for the baby's sake. Who would want to grow up knowing they were born in jail?

So, another possibility down the drain for us. Again. Five situations, 7 children - all maybe's turned to no's in one year. Argh.

(((Andy)))

I am so sorry it didn't work out for you this time either. What a rollercoaster ride of emotions you must be and have been going through with all these "maybes". It must be so hard not to get your hopes up every time you hear of a child needing a home. I wish there was no maybes and that next time, it will be your turn. What a wonderful home that child will come to! I say will, because I have this feeling that it will happen soon!

I am so sorry. My heart aches for you and all of the little ones that missed out on the opportunity to be in your wonderful family. Your little one is out there waiting for you. It is just a matter of time.
