My wife Angela, who is 34 weeks pregnant, got a UTI and was perscribed Marcobid.
On the bottle of the medication, it says "Do not use this medication if you are pregnat, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding". And there she is swallowing a pill.
Is this really safe for pregnancy?
She keeps telling me to stop worrying, but I can't help myself.
Please help!

It is normal to worry...
Believe me, she is not the first person here to get a UTI and have it treated with macrobid!! It may contribute to some additional nausea, but the baby will be fine. That is so sweet that you are concerned for her and the baby, and taking an active approach in her care. Keep up the good support, she needs it!!!
