Hi, Im Sara, I am new to this site, Great site, I feel at home now, that I will be understood for all Im going thru for the second time. Im now 7 weeks pregnant, at five weeks I ended up in the hospital with HG, I had a PICC line inserted and came home after 3 days.
Now Im on TPN 24hours, 2x a day phenergan, 3x a day zofran and bedtime benadryl. I have a double lumin, one for TPN and one for the meds. and of course once a week I have the nurse come to change the dressing, oww and to do bloodwork.
The nauseau and vomiting is definitely better since the tpn and the medications, but the side effect of the phenergan is sleepy and groggy and if I don't sleep it out, then don't stand next to me. My left hand is not really usable, it is still painful and the bruising is coming out.
I cannot do much all day, when I try to do something, I get dizzy, or Im even too tired to do much. I need some ideas what I can do all day when I sit on the couch, I know I have a long way ahead, Im trying to stay optomistic. The biggest encouragement right now is when I look at my 2 beautiful children and then its all worth it!!
