Saying Goodbye

Postby Fern » Apr 06, 2012 11:28 am

Hi everyone,

I can't believe I'm writing this, but we're done. Our pregnancy has ended, and with it our dreams of a second child, my lifelong longing for a daughter, and our wish for a sibling for DS. We are absolutely crushed, but we are DONE. There is just no way I can ever do HG again; we've been through too much already. There are multiple other factors that mean that we are really and truly done. I can't talk about what happened and I think it better for me to stop coming around the boards after the next few days. Too much pain and too many sad memories.

I have loved the support and help and care and resources of this community and will forever be grateful to so many of you. Thank you for keeping me/us going through some of the most wretched moments of my life. I wish each of you the very best in your pregnancies and life.

I can hear the devastation in your post, and I'm sitting here wondering what words will sound right. I can't believe that someone has to go through so much suffering and sadness, and I'm so sorry that you have to know what it's like. Is there any way that you and DH can have your eggs/sperm frozen in case you decide to try surrogacy at some point? Go easy on yourself as you heal from everything. BIG big hugs

I can't express how sorry I am. I have read so many of your posts during my darkest days and they have given me so much hope. I wish there was something I could do to take the pain away. Every loss is different, and you take as much time as you need to heal and move forward with your life. Once again I am so sorry <3

So surprised and so, so very sad for you, your family, and the babies you've lost. I'll definitely be praying for you guys. I don't really know the right words to say, but I just wish that I could give you a big hug.

I feel so sorry and sad right now. I did not expect to read this from you, I thought you'd be writing to say you were feeling better now that you were heading into the 2nd trimester. I totally understand what you are feeling as far as this was the last chance...I knew that this was the last time I could do HG too, and I have been so scared to lose this baby (still am) because I didn't think I could ever go through it again. But in time maybe everything changes and you will be strong and ready to try again. I can't imagine what happened or how you are feeling but I just wanted to say I'm thinking of you...
