Well, you'll probably find that it's a lot more common for women to get HG again in second + pregnancies than it is to not get it again, especially on this board (since we're all here for HG support in one way or another). That being said, there are also women on this board (and others) that have used agressive pre-emptive treatment and gotten through the hardest bit without it ever progressing to anything worse. Some get a NVP for only a few weeks, and then feel fluffy for the rest of the time. I've also read about other women who have had HG with one or more pregnancies, and then magically end up with mild morning sickness the next time. It's hit and miss. Statistically speaking, if you've had it before, your chances are pretry good of getting hit again, and if I'm being honest, it can be worse in subsequent pregnancies. I'm sorry, I know that's not what you were hoping to hear...I don't mean to be negative or scare you. My plan going into this pregnancy was to prepare for a harder pregnancy and hope for a better one. It's easier to be prepared than to be stuck with HG and not ready for it. Just make sure you have some child care assistance and medications lined up, just in case. Good luck, and I hope HG misses you next time..I really do.
