Crackered by an OB

I'd had the same OB for 4 years and thought he was great until HG popped up. He finally diagnosed me at 10 weeks, and then decided that since Zofran wasn't working that well, it must be in my head. I asked for a new meds regiment and instead he gave me a depression quiz and suggested reflexology. After that, and with advise from some of ya'll, I switched to a really great new doctor who's put me on home care. Unfortunately, my short term disability claims manager only spoke with "it's all in your head" doc. I get a letter today saying that my doc says I'm perfectly healthy, just a little fatigued, and that since I have a "sedentary desk job" he can't understand why I'm having difficulty working. Of course on this info, claim is denied. ARRGGG!!!

I had an OB that told me that it wasn't a big deal to lose 20 lbs in a couple months. Unfortunately, by that point, I wasn't able to work at all, but fortunately, I didn't have to deal with that stuff. Can you call your new OB and explain the situation to them? I know there was no way that I could work even though I had a desk job shuffling papers all day. Many days I couldn't hold my head up! I can only imagine that it is that much fun for you

HUGS. Can you fight the disability? My OB for my first pregnancy told me that it was ok for me to lose so much weight as long as the baby was growing and that it was just morning sickness and to suck it up and get over it. This was at 5 months in and 30 lb down.

Appeal it. You have every right and the old OB is an HG idiot. HG qualifies, completely!
