If one other person....

Postby KarenJ » Oct 07, 2009 9:26 am

I know this has been said in the forum over and over again, but if one more person tells me to eat saltines before I get out of bed in the morning I am going to scream. So you hear a loud screaching sound where ever you are you will know it was me. You might even be able to her me if for some reason you are visiting Jupiter.

I asked my family and friends to look at this site, and get educated, but noooo all I hear is "try crackers before you even get out of bed" UGGGG!!

OK the vent is done and I feel a little better now.

So sorry! I heard many versions of this too. Do people actually think we haven't tried everything imaginable and that saltines just never crossed our minds?

:hgisland: for all of them!

before I started geetting sick with my first, my best friend told me i would always need toi make sure i eat crackers right when i wake up. I was like why- i feel fine. I thought i was going to have a morning sickness free pregnancy

two weeks later i was in the hospital - and no crackers did not help.

I told her you have to enjoy torture to eat crackers when you wake up - it hurts and taste horrible coming up

maybe she is the type that likes the whips and chains - oh i didnt say that

actually my friend was really good to me - after she found out what i had- but was still kinda funny

Yeah I know people are just trying to be helpful and supportive. But, I guess in this emotional state it is easy to get angry - even at really good friends. I keep saying - but I don't have morning sickness and "food" in general no matter what it is makes me puke. :x Then they say but have you tried..... Now didn't I just say that it is "all" food.

Well, except for potatoes lately. OMG, I still just want to scream!

I always told people that it is hard to eat crackers on the bathroom floor, since I often fell asleep there after puking in the middle of the night. That usually stopped people from telling me "try this." I still got the odd few that insisted that there was some miracle cure that I HAD to try before the drugs that were making me medicated-fluffy.

I hear ya! Everytime I go in for IV infusion at the day clinic the nurse brings me *FOODMNT*sprite and saltines*ENDFDMNT* and rambles on about how I have to try to keep something down.

Soooo annoying!!! It made me so  when someone said I know what you are going through (they vomited once during their pregnancy)! and crackers were the key, "you should try them"!!!!

I loved when the OB's office offered me crackers or pretzels! Hello!!! I have celiac disease! I was thinking, I know I haven't eaten anything, but that would just make me sicker!
