As big (for me) as the end of babywearing

Postby sarahkate » Jun 26, 2009 12:57 am

Freya is potty trained.

No more nappies (cloth or otherwise)
has joined my list of saddest things along with
No more babywearing
Never breastfeeding
No more skin-to-skin in the bath.

I guess we all have our own list. I didn't expect this to hit me so hard. She is full of herself, and it's lovely "I wear big girl pants all day and Mummy bought me a pink nice cream!" but bittersweet. I want, in all honesty, another baby.

Thank you all.
I think I might be ovulating, I am fairly sure my Mirena has had me anovulatory for the last 2 1/2 years but all of a sudden there are these broody feelings and I wonder if there's something hormonal to it? My good friend over here who has two children was telling me how one of them was sick in the bath at the same time as the other had an exploding nappy and surprisingly I didn't think "thank goodness that can't happen in my house!" but "that sounds like real motherhood". Sigh. This too will probably pass.

No more skin-to-skin in the bath - this too me is particularly sad.
