I've done this unoffically (as such) in another forum when I was going through HG a second time and annother lady on her first. It is so helpful to talk to someone who's been there done that. One of the nurses who got me through was a HG suffer and sat on my bed while I cried in her arms, I think I was so relieved to know I was not alone, someone did understand.

Hi, I'm new to this forum. Had HG (well my obstetrician never called it that, but I know it was!) for the entire 40 weeks of my pregnancy. Was hospitalised a couple of times, had severe ante natal depression as a result of HG and ended up in a psychiatric hospital at 25 weeks or so, which was a frightening experience. My pregnancy was about as hellish as you can get and now I'm feeling really sad that it's preventing us from having a second child. Ella is now 15 months, and while the pregnancy was hell, she's been a dream baby. I really admire all you courageous women that went back a second, third and even fourth time! You deserve a ticker tape parade.

I've never seen anything like the HER Foundation in Australia. If anyone out there is from Australia and would either like a buddy to support them through the debilitating experience of HG, or has come out the other side and would like to compare war wounds, let me know. Would love to help someone get through what I can only describe as a living nightmare. It's changed my life forever - in some ways for the better as I have a lot more compassion now for people living with bad health or terminal illness - but also I am really mad about it preventing my husband and I having another child.
