Dry heaving already????????

Postby jen1473 » May 26, 2007 9:44 am

Hey ladies. I'm 8 or 9 DPO and dry heaved this morning when I was giving my dog her medicine. She's got lyme and this is the 14th day I've given her medicine 2x a day! This morning - dry heaved!! I haven't dry heaved since my last pregnancy (thank God!). I have not taken a test and really didn't think we even hit the mark this month (our 1st try this pregnancy). Can I possibly be getting symptoms already??? With both of my prior pregnancies I was getting car sick before my missed AF - don't remember if I ever gagged/dry heaved.

Anyone else have symptoms this early? Is it possible?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Well I know there are some ladies on the forum who defintiely got sick before they got a BFP. And they knew that they just had to be pg - and they were. So I know it is possible.

When are you planning to test? With some of the more sensitive tests, you would be able to get a BFP now at 10dpo.

Keep us updated!

This is my first pregnancy, so that may be why, but I have been sick I believe since the day I got pregnant. About 2 weeks in, I was throwing up and had a lot of flu like symptoms and some cramping. I usually end up sick during my period so I thought I was about to start, somewhat late. When it didn't go away for another 2 weeks my husband bought 4 pregnancy tests, all came up positive, right away. Forget that 60 seconds to see a pink line, mine came up instantly. :)My doctor seemed surprised. From that point on I have been really ill. Sometimes I think maybe I'm just nutty, that most women don't get sick so fast. I guess I'm not, a hospital stay will prove that. Hope you get to feeling better!!!

* I got the new Clearblue Easy test that literally says, "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant", which is supposed to work earlier.

Just chiming in that it could definitely be possible. With my fluffy pregnancy at about 7 DPO I got up one morning and just got hit with nausea. I threw up and then... everythign was okay until a few days later & the same thing happened. I thought I was REALLY in for it, but it turned out to be my easiest! I hope you have a similar experience. :) I used progesterone after pregnancy was confirmed and (plus the pregnancy prep I did prior) I think that helped with the NVP. I was still morning sick, but it wasn't like being in the black hole that my 1st or 3rd pregnancy was like. Best wishes! I hope you're fluffy!

I have only had one preg but I was nauseous from about 5 DPO though told myself it couldn't poss be that so quickly (having never heard about HG at that time!). Extreme nausea kicked in around the test time and I started actually vomiting 2 days after taking my test. In hindsight, I'm positive it was from the preg. So ..... you def could be!

:hugs: :hugs:

Here's an update ladies...tested this morning and got a BFN. I did dry heave that one day, and then the next morning I had heart burn! This morning - nothing. I guess it could just be coincidental - but would be very weird. I'm not actually due for AF until this Sunday - the 3rd. So I guess I'll test again later in the week. I still would be really surprised if I get a BFP because I think we missed by a day or two because my husband was traveling. I don't use an ovulation test or anything like that - so I'm really just speculating. I'll keep you all posted! And thanks for all the replies!!!

With this pg I started getting sick, and did a test and it came up negative (which I was happy about since my youngest was only 6 months then) but after another two weeks of being sick and constant nausea I got another test and it was positive, I had to have been pg when I got the negative because between the two tests I didn't have sex because I was too sick.

I still don't know my exact EDD because my cycles were messed up, I have to wait another week for an u/s then I'll know how far along I was when I did both tests.

I feel like I'm going crazy! I nauseous last night and then got nauseous today in the car! My DH is like - hello - the writing is on the wall - but I still think maybe it's in my head because I'm freaking out about getting sick again! Maybe it's PMS? I don't know...all I know is that I'm going to feel really stupid if this turns out as nothing.

Don't worry about it! In fact, many of the early pgy symptoms are the same as just before af arrives e.g. sore boobs, bloating, consitpation, nausea and even vomiting for some women.

Only a few days more to go until you can reliably test...

AHHH - crampy! Looks like it's not meant to be this time...I feel pretty crampy tonight. I guess I'll just wait and see but it looks like all my symptoms are turning out to be PMS

False alarm..AF came yesterday - 2 days early!!

This whole thing has been so bizaar! All those symptoms, then I start spotting yesterday and then it stopped. Then this morning it came full force. 1) I've NEVER been early in all my years...2) I NEVER spot before I get AF.

So - something fishy was going on with my cycle for sure.

I will be trying again in two weeks - this time "like it's my job" hahaha...

good luck!!!!
