20 weeks tomorrow!

Postby nukuspot » Apr 18, 2012 1:53 pm

I can't believe I did it! 20 weeks has been my halfway goal as I know it has for most of you. I feel like it was so long and hard to get here, but I wanted to post and say I did it and so can you!

My HG is millions of times better now than it was at the peak (6-10 weeks) and my last vomiting episode was at 17 weeks on the day. I am still nauseous 24/7 but I can live like this for 20 more weeks, I know I can. I can't believe I am past the worst and out the other side. I know I can never do this again so this will be my last pregnancy. I am OK with that decision.

By the way we just found out...It's another girl! I'm very happy, 2 girls seems really great to me. I was also so happy that after 4 months of not eating and taking meds, being so ill, the baby looked just fine on the ultrasound, she was 10 oz, in the 45th percentile. I'm only up 4 lbs from my PPW, but I did lose 8% of my body weight so I have actually gained an adequate amount.

I did it, I'm halfway, and you all can DO IT too!

#1 Daughter born 4/2009 "mild" (what an oxymoron) HG from 5-16 weeks, then just mild nausea/NVP

Congrats! Why does it seem like your pregnancy is going faster than mine??? :)

I could have written this post, word for word, when I hit 20 weeks. It was a major mental turning point for me too, and even though I was still feeling pretty rough, I KNEW I could make it to the end. Finding out we were having our second girl was also nice...it made the whole experience more than just about being sick.

I'm almost at my next goal, which was 3rd tri! You'll be there pretty soon too!

Glad you've improved a bit!

Yay! Congrats! 20 weeks a big milestone for me to hit as well even though it has continued to be an up and down journey...
We need to find out how many of us are expecting girls!

We were told this baby is a girl. My ds likes to gives her "tisses":D
We are naming her Gabriella because it means God strengthens-felt that was fitting with all this pregnancy entails!

I am also having a girl! Geese Louise if she gives me half as much trouble on the outside as she has given me on the inside, I am gonna be in BIG trouble! Lol Congrats on the 20 week mark... I was hoping (and praying) that I would be "cured" by now. Even though I am not 100%, I am still grateful with where I am. Weeks 9-17 were very hard for me... Onward and upward. Every day that we get through is another day closer to the end! As my significant other tells me every night "You've got another one in the books, baby!"
