Stay away HG fairy!

Postby Susannah » Sep 28, 2007 11:55 am

No HG so far  I am currently just nauseous, dizzy and exausted. So far I haven't vomited and have been keeping hydrated. I think I am 5 weeks along now- so its still going to be a long road.

My last hcg was 17,000. We have an u/s on Tues to date the pregnancy and make sure there is only one bub.

Well that's great! I hope she continues to stay far, far away. So do you think it's twins? How crazy would that be? :) Part of me wanted twins my 2nd pregnancy so I could get 2 for the price of 1, but I don't know if I could handle it in reality. I can't wait to hear the us results!

How do you know your HGC levels and how do they come into play. I have never monitors my HGC level, or know what the level means.

I monitored them this time because of my last mc and because I haven't had a period since my mc. There is a range for each week and I am higher than expected. Twins can cause higher levels.

I am currently doing zofran as needed, unisom at night, milk thistle 3 times a day, 100mg B6, 5mg folic acid and fish oil. I need to add fiber and maybe colace as the :takingzofran: has started. I am unbelievab;y tired all the time since starting the unisom. Have other people found its made them sleep during the day too? On the up side, the unisom has decreased the :verygreen:

susannah,
I found the unisom bothered me in the day for about a week, now I am used to it.

I take a 1/2 in the mid morning and have added a 1/2 in the afternoon now. then a full one at bed time. I find if I take it between zofran doses I get the biggest bang out of it....

Good luck on that bub and if you want twins, I hope you get them!

I wanted them every pregnancy since I thought it would make for a bigger family and a shorted time of HG, but has not happened....

Good luck! we are cheering for you!

Susannah,

I was wondering if you talked to your Dr about taking the milk thistle, etc. I have not discussed taking anything but Zofran with my Dr in the past. I'm going to see him on Tuesday and was thinking of asking him about it but you know how some Drs. can be...

I hope that you are feeling better! So far I've been nauseous and have had that nasty taste in my mouth. Ugh!! Stay away HG Fairy!!

My MW was not enthusiastic about the milk thistle, but was fine if I wanted to take it.
