When I was pregnant 5 years ago, I had HG, but had no idea what it was or that there was actually a name for it. I was very ill and decided to resign from my job. I lost everyone, my apartment, car, etc. To this day, my credit still suffers from it. Was there anything I could have done to prevent this had I known it was a true medical condition

Unfortunately job protection in most states is very minimal, even for true medical conditions.

We have lots of people on the boards that have lost everything even with the diagnosis.
