emoticons and dizziness **Updated with instructions**

Postby acorn26 » Feb 27, 2007 9:11 pm

Is there a way for me to completely remove the emoticons from the left hand of my screen. I should have asked this months ago, as the movement, especially of the HG island is HORRIBLE. It actually makes my HG worse.

I usually just tape something over it, but that is not great for my screen.

I wonder if there is a way in profiles to just shut it off? I bet a lot of other women feel the same way.

I don't mind getting them from others in posts because I can just quickly skim those messages, but their ever presence when I am typing a message overwhelms me.

Thanks for any help on this matter.

If you push the esc button it turns off all emoticon movement. You can turn them off while posting and reading messages. I really hope this helps.

You can also go into your profile and turn off the smilies setting. I dont know if this would help with the whole bunch of emoticons on the left when posting. Good tip about ESC button, I never knew that!

Wow! This is the best tip EVER. I cannot believe the difference it is making on my ability to post.

I wonder if this shouldn't be a sticky in 1st tri and 2nd tri folder?

Just a thought.

Thank you so much for helping me.
