HG and Miscarriage/Loss

Postby Mar2 » Aug 03, 2004 12:53 pm

This poll deals with Miscarriage and Hyperemesis. I am sorry if you have experienced more than one loss and can not check the appropriate response for each loss. But I am not sure how to allow you to check all answers that apply.

I am also sorry this poll can not cover loss because of termination. However, I think a poll about termination and inadequate/adequate care would be very valuable.

And please let me know if you think the poll could be adjusted/resubmitted with better response options.

Thanks for participating.

Poll Participation

It is my understanding that you have to login to the site in order to participate in a poll. I do not believe you can participate in a poll as a "Guest."

Thanks!

stillborn hg babies?

Postby IslandDreamer » Aug 29, 2004 2:42 am

Hi Marla,

I am aware of five women on the forum who have m/c. And your poll shows more. Are there any stats or stories of stillbirth and hg? The grief forum seems to contain only m/c and termination stories.

Hope you're well.

In terms of stats: does the computer prevent people from voting more than once?

I am logged in and cannot get to cast my vote. I have just voted on a different poll so cannot understand why I can't do this one. Thought I'd let you know in case others are having problems.

Suzanne,
I don't know of any statistics on hg and stillbirth. I do know that some women who experience loss after 20 weeks refer to it as stillbirth rather than miscarriage. I didn't want to overlook anyone's experience, so I chose to use both terms. And if memory serves me, there sadly were losses after 20 weeks reported on the old HuGS boards.

I don't think all the women from HuGS are active or even members here yet. Maybe with time, some of those women will find helpher and share their stories.

Take care,
Marla

Natalie & Mandy,

I will post a note to Andy to see if she can address your questions. My own experience suggests each login can only vote once. I've never been given the opportunity to vote a second time. If I check the poll after I've voted, I see only the statistics.

Hopefully Andy can help us out here.
