GAllbladder & Blood type (RH Negative)

Hi,

I wasnt sure exactly which research poll to post this in. I met with my surgeon yesterday to set up surgery for having my GB removed in early August.

He said the most interesting thing to me. I am RH Negative (AB-) and my husband and my daughter are both O+. He said that blood type can also effect the GB during and after pregnancy, when the Mom is RH Neg. Appartenly the GB helps to "process" the positive blood in the RH NEgative mother. This can put an addtional strain on the GB.

I hope I explained this correctly!

In any event, I have surgery on August 6th yo remove the GB, in preparation for baby #2!
