could Prozac help HG?

Postby IslandDreamer » Aug 15, 2005 10:11 pm

I ran out of prozac about 10 days ago and just don't feel up to going to the grocery store pharmacy. Blah. Guess I was hoping I could go without it. Well, a few days into this, the HG started acting up. Do you think the Prozac was helping it stay calmer? Could be coincidence but since Prozac messes with serotonins, which impact nausea and related stuff, I just wonder.

Any thoughts?

I think it's certainly possible. They actually prescribed me some kind of anti-depressant to take though i can't remember the name of it right now, but I wouldn't take it because it was ODT and made me sick. Maybe it would have helped?

I know prozac is also great for pain relief, so I would not be surprised if it helped in other areas.

Well, I know that Remeron is sometimes used to treat nausea, and it is also an antidepressant, so it is very likely that your hg is/was being controlled on a small level with the use of prozac.

BTW, sorry I never posted those boards, if you will email tham to me again I will do that for you. (It has been wild around here).
