Postby Gracie » Feb 05, 2006 12:25 pm

All of the following articles (except one...) are from the current issue of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Feb 2006 a really well regarded medical journal which seems to have dedicated a great portion of this issue to HG. Each one of these describes research or specific cases of women with HG... you can access them through Medline if you wish.

It seemed so simple in my head... sorry! This may seem long and convaluted but it is quite simple:

I access MEDLINE searches through Medscape www.medscape.com its free, but you have to sign up (its a nice service since you can request automatic notifications of new findings with key words, etc....)

In the top right corner is the search box, type "Hyperemesis Gravidarum" and select "MEDLINE"

It will give you all the publications listed... for the best sorting, under "Advanced Search Options" ask for "By publication date" and it will give you the publications in order of most recent to oldest.

You can get the abstracts through this, which gives the introduction, summary, details and conclusions. For the long, detailed versions you will likely need access to a hospital or university server that has subscriptions to the journals.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Aimee! My brain is not always running on all cylinders these days...

I was really pleased to see so many articles & case reports about HG in one publication; hopefully this will happen more often.
