Hoping to Adopt

It has been a few years since I have been to this website and I can't believe I am back! I have three beautiful children ages 15, 7 and 4 and my last two pregnancies were plagued with severe HG. After enduring hospitalizations, zofran pumps and home IV's, my doctor has advised that another pregnancy would be too dangerous to my health.

Since before we were married, my husband and I always discussed expanding our family through adoption and now is the right time. We are now homestudy approved and ready to find a match through domestic adoption. We are so excited and determined to have the family we always wanted despite HG.

If there are any "survivors" out there who have moved on to adoption, I would love to connect.

Hi,

I know it's been several months since you posted but I wanted to reach out. After 2 HE pregnancies we moved onto adoption. We have been waiting 7 months with 4 agencies now. I would love to hear what progress you have made. Unfortunately the adoption world seems very slow right now but we are hoping to find a birth family soon. We have even considered having another child. Zofran pump here I come if we go that route! ; )

Not sure how I missed your message . We are still waiting for our match, hoping and praying every day will be the day. How are things going for you. Did you decide to tackle the pump again or move on to adoption? Best of luck with whichever route you are taking!
