Remembering Maria Gabriela Giani

Postby IslandDreamer » Jan 06, 2006 6:34 pm

Maria, like many women across the world, died of complications of hyperemesis. Hers is a tragic story of misdiagnosis and poor medical care.

In loving memory of Maria Gabriela Giani, March 21, 1971 - November 25, 2005, and married to George on June 23, 2000.

(This is posted with George's permission.)

It is a severe battle that we HG-ers face, and sometimes we loose the battle! One step at a time we can win the war! God Bless you and all the beautiful children that are sitting on the Lords lap.

...that's my dear wife (Maria Giani)

Postby ggi1818 » Jan 18, 2006 2:23 pm

I hope lots of people read this post and realize how debilatating and dangerous HG can be. HG shouldn't have to be life-threatoning if doctors would simply diagnose and aggressively treat it early on.

If you're too sick to eat for nearly a week or longer, get help right away: Don't wait. My wife did not have to die from HG and neither should anyone else.

OMG, Am I to read that correctly about your wife. I am so saddend to hear that. HG is a vicious monster that has no feeling on who it lurks on. I am very very sorry to hear about your wife. You are in my prayers in and my heart. God Bless you.

Eternal Peace

Postby christineb » Jul 24, 2006 10:08 pm

It is the eve of my EDD of my lost angel, and Maria and her sweet babies have been on my mind. May she dance and hold and cradle her little sweethearts, and maybe, if she can spare a little moment, cradle my little one as well. God bless Maria Giani, may she be blessed with eternal peace, as well as complete and euphoric joy - the kind only felt while dancing among angels, in heaven.
Rockin' out thanks to reglan, during my 2nd HG pg! (in this pic)
