I wasn't sure where to post this, it isn't really funny, in a joking manner. It was funny to me in a are you kidding me manner!!!
First of all, I have to confess that I am a lurker on a few fluffy message boards...I am just so curious to see how normal pregnant women live. Anyway, the other day I was at some message board and some lady was actually wondering if anyone else still wore thongs! Thongs??? As in underwear??? I flashback to throwing up and peeing at the same time and trying to actually fit into my underwear the last few weeks, never mind wearing undies that are giving you a constant wedgie! Yikes!

hahaha,

I actually thought about this the other day. I was complaining to my dh that I didn't have clean undies, he opened up my drawer and pulled out a thong. "What about these?"

I laughed as I pulled on a pair of his boxers instead!

Jolene,

I too must admit a frequent a fluffy site as well  But, I gave up my thongs once I got prego with Madison. After her pregnancy they just wernt comfy anymore :)

But, I will admit, we've had the underwear discussion on the other site, and I guess I must be one of the rare few that wears non-maternity underwear! They seem to fit just fine, and stay right under my belly. But, I think it all has to do with where the weight gain hits. I seem to get a GIANT belly, but my tush stays pretty normal. I know we all grow differrntly

I saw those at Thyme Maternity and almost died laughing. I know many women like them but not me. I just pictured the wedgie getting worse and worse as I ran to the bathroom!

Confession time...with my last babe I wore those maternity thongs. I don't wear them normally, I am a bikini girl. But as I get bigger with baby (my butt, does, unfortunatly, grow wider) the bikini starts to ride on up, maternity undies or not. I just can't stand briefs...they make me so nuts it's the quickest way for me to get CRANKY! With my first, I never left my bed on the bathroom floor or in my bedroom, so I didn't bother to wear any undies. Whats the use? A towel is easier...LOL...(only another HG mom could get that LOL). But I was more active with second, so I tried those thongs and they were VERY comfy. This one, I am active by force LOL so I may revert back to them if I ever gain weight again.

I just can't wear thongs...maternity or otherwise...I wear low rise bikini, even now, they stay below the belly. The only problem I have is the leg holes are a little snug!

So far with this pregnancy, I have not needed to get anything. The undies I had that were too small now fit just fine LOL and the bigger ones may make it throughout the rest! I prefer not to wear a thong, as I don't like the feeling of anything creeping up my bottom LOL...it's just that anything is better then briefs.

Heres to hoping it won't be a concern this pregnancy!

With Chris, I wore my thongs since nothing else fit my huge butt. It was mild HG, so does that mean I had a fluffy moment each morning with my undies??? 8) Very cool....

BOXER BRIEFS. That's all I can say. They function as shorts in the summer and fit over my butt and under my belly just right...no restricting elastic. But they must be worn-in old dh boxer briefs to be most comfy. He's getting a bit frustrated as none of them seems to fit him correctly anymore  :P

LOL I feel so fuddy duddy now...lol When I was pregnant, and I actually got out of bed, I had these great big granny knickers!! I'm normally a bikini girl too, but they would cut in under the bump, no matter what size I got! So I had these size 22 granny pants that went half way up the bump!! I felt so old..lol but they were really comfortable! Pleased to say they have gone now that Kimi is here and I am back to my bikini's..lol albeit a slightly larger size than pre-pg!

Jolene!!!... I can't believe you actually admit to looking on Fluffy Forums   ... does anyone think that a self help support group is in order for this type of thing?........... "Hi my name is Helen and I have been looking on Fluffy Forums for over 5 months..." or.... "I have been Fluffy Forum Free for over 3 months now and each day it gets easier.....".

I agree Jolene.. I NEVER wear thongs... there is just something a little too lacking in there.... Like pretty much a whole crotch and a bum part! lol

I am a high legged girl myself.... it holds the stomach in a bit, except at the moment they are in humongous size and sit under my tum... hee heex

joke about thongs

Postby SkunkPaw » Sep 22, 2005 4:05 am

I can't wear thongs, have a few times, just isn't for me.

I can't even image being pregnant sporting a thong. I would be afraid of all the freaks out there that may think that it is sexy. LOL This brings back the jumping jacks... I hope she wasn't wearing a thong.

I heard this joke on Larry the cable guy about thongs. I hope I get it right. He said thongs are like floss for men. They always have some brown stuff on them when they are taken off. The last thing you want to be doing is hitting on a woman, one that wears thongs, and take her home to have her find out that your thongs are really not brown. Women should be the only ones to pull that off cause men leak. I thought that I would share that and sorry if it got to vivid.

During my first pregnancy I couldn't do much...thus discovered the internet. On AOL. I was getting into chat rooms (surprising, I know  ) and found this pregnant room...on I went with out thinking.

I would be afraid of all the freaks out there that may think that it is sexy.

Yup...I think they were converged in that room! I not only turned off the computer quickly, but I ran out of the room it was in LOL
