GP in Melbourne Australia (supportive!)??

Hi all

I'm new to the forum and am looking for the names of supportive GPs in Melbourne who will not run in the opposite direction when I ask for pre-emptive / regular Zofran prescriptions...

My old GP let me down in this regard... reluctant to prescribe, then only wrote two scripts for Zofran in 4 weeks...

I'm going to try to get pg again with a proper 'action plan' for preemptive treatment this time around...

Names? I've found the name of Dr Percy (Ob) on this forum but she's on the other side of the city and I doubt I'd be able to drive anywhere if I'm as unwell with HG as I was last time around...

I dont know any GP's in Melbourne (Im in Bendigo) but I do know that myself and at least one other person here recieved great care for HG at the Royal Women's in Carlton. Would it be possible for you to get an appointment there with an OB? Im pretty sure they do free clinics.

The RWH would be ok for desperation / IV rehydration, but I need a gp to pre-emptively prescribe zofran etc, and be the regular support /care provider.

I'm 7 days post ovulation on my first month TTC and have vomited twice (overnight). I wonder if I'm anxious or if it's starting?

Yay !!

Found a GP who will give a private script for 30 Zofran at a time (plus repeats!!) and a chemist that will bulk buy for me at $170 per 30 tabs instead of $56 for only 4 tabs.

And I'm pregnant (early days) so it's just in time.

The GP has approved my treatment plan - start on Restavit/B6 with the first hint of nausea (have already) then add zofran and if needed add stemitel. Maxalon did not work last time & I did not have enough zofran so I already feel better.

She tried the Ginger / cracker rubbish but I showed her some articles & she was really open to the information.

A bit of a drive (eastern suburbs) but I will manage & if need be she agreed to post scripts to me ..

Hi can you please let me know your GP's name? They sound fantastic. And where is the chemist you got such cheap zofran from? Thanks heaps I'd really appreciate it. Anticipating for my next pregnancy in advance! HG survivor
