Melbourne Australia

Postby mombrooke » Jun 03, 2012 11:11 pm

Hi I've just become a member of the HER forums site. I need alot of advice but not sure where to ask? I am desperately searching for melbourne sufferers in Australia. I am frustratingly searching for an obstetrician and want to know more about getting IV therapy at home in Melbourne and how to make it happen. I also want to know how to get more treatment options available to Australian's. I have searched high and low for many months. Hoping someone reads this and can give me the advice I need.

Thank you, Brooke

Hi Brooke,

Glad you have found this forum - it is amazing! Not happy that you have to suffer through HG...

Try looking in the HG outside of America Folder - a lot of us Aussie girls post in there and you may find some answers to your initial queries. All the folders here are helpful in some way or another the other folder that you may want to look through is the Preparation folder lots of fantastic information and advice contained in there.

Goodluck, I am from SE QLD and am happy to chat anytime.

Hi Brooke,
Welcome, and sorry you have reason to join us :( I'm in Sydney, so things may be a little different here but here they don't do home IVs so I've been going in to the Day Assessment unit at my hospital for fluid infusions several times a week. It sucks, but I can't keep my hydration stable without them.
Best of luck, feel free to holler if you have questions :)
